Dickson's lack of health and energy along with his inability to travel, as he did prior to illness, have brought a financial shortfall. Over the past 4 years of failing health, and rising medical costs, we have depleted our financial safety net and find ourselves in need of financial assistance. As we look forward to tranplantation of a new kidney, we realize that we really have no idea what post transplant looks like. We do understand there will be MANY perscriptions, a bit of a recovery period as the anti-rejection drugs are fine tuned, and then of course the expense of a life time of anti- rejection medications. The other reality at this time is that the doctors may postpone things for a while and that would leave dickson in the weakened state for a while longer. Of course we pray that is not the case, but we realize it is a possibilty.

What a blessing to have heard from a number of dear, generous friends who have offered to support us with financial gifts. It is so encouraging and mood lifting to know we are not in this alone.

Dickson has led a life of generosity. He loves helping others and supporting others. Being on the recieving end has been a difficult transition. We have come to a point of realization that just as we have gained so much joy in helping others, others will also experience that joy as they reach out and help us.
