Well, we are coming up on our 1 year anniversary of Allenmykael's extended stay at our favorite 'vacation spot' Mary Bridge Hospital. I can't believe it's been a whole year since all that drama took place where we almost lost him. PTL God has a different plan for him.
His hip still gives him trouble and the rest of his joints are still deteriorating and his inhibitor still causes trouble for him but he still presses on with his school work and every day tasks.
In April of this year Allenmykael was selected to represent the state of Washington as well as his school in Washington DC as an National Youth Leader. He was able to experience first hand knowledge of what goes on during legislative sessions as Congress discussed our national budget; he lobbied against key issues in a mock scenarios; and he received outstanding merit recognition for his academic excellence.
This year, as a National Youth Leader Alumni, Allenmykael was selected to attend a forum on Collegiate success at MITT being held in December this year. He was also selected to attend one of 10 top medical training schools during the summer of 2012.
We are humbled but honored that Allenmykael was selected and feel very fortunate to get this opportunity but it does come with a price. We must raise money for tuition and travel for these two events. We ask that you might consider making a donation in support of these two opportunities for Allenmykael.
